Johanna Stickland is a Canadian born, self-taught painter, illustrator and photographer currently living and working in Portugal. Her work has been featured in Juxtapoz, EXIT Magazine, Vision Magazine China, The Wild Magazine, Ignant, Quite Lovely Project, Metal Magazine and REVS Magazine amongst others. In February 2017, she was commissioned by SHOWstudio to illustrate the Milan Womenswear A/W 17 collections in Milan. 

Painting in watercolor, oil and gouache, Johanna works quickly to create an emotional atmosphere in her tender abstract representations of fluid, ghostly figures and faces. 

Focusing mainly on personal commissions from individuals around the world, Johanna's paintings are held in private collections in Canada, the United States, Australia, France, the United Kingdom, Austria, Netherlands and Germany.
